Jack Nicholson - The Famous Hollywood Actor - Director

Jack Nicholson is very popular person in Indian Hollywood History. He is an American actor, film director, producer and writer.  He won the Academy Award for Best Actor twice. He has been nominated for Academy Awards 12 times. He won six Golden Globe Awards, and received a Kennedy Center Honor in 2001.

Birth & Early Life:-

Jack Nicholson was born on 22 April, 1937 in New York City. He was a son of show girl June Frances Nicholson. Donald Furcillo claimed to be Nicholson's father. June's manager, may be the father, and other sources have suggested that June Nicholson was unsure of who the father was. Nicholoson thought that his grandparents were his parents. But after some he got information that his parents were actually his grandparents and his sister was in fact his mother in 1974. Nicholson grew up in Neptune City, New Jersey. he was known as Nick to his high school friends

His Family:-

Jack Nicholson had got 4 children:- Jenneifer Nicholson, Honey Hollman, Lorraine Nicholson, Ray Nicholson. He was attached with numerous actresses and models, including Michelle Phillips, Bebe Buell, and Lara Flynn Boyle. He passed 16 years with actress Anjelica Huston from 1973 to 1989. When media reported that Rebecca Broussard had become pregnant with his child then this relationship ended. Nicholson and Rebecca had got two children together, Lorraine in 1990 and Raymond Nicholson in 1992. His other children are Jennifer born in 1963 with Sandra Knight and Honey Hollman born in 1981 with Winnie Hollman.

Career:-

Firstly Jack Nicholson worked as a gofer for animation legends William Hanna and Joseph Barbera at the MGM cartoon studio. Due to his talent William Hanna and Joseph Barbera gave him a starting level position as an animation artist. He made his film debut in a teen drama The Cry Baby Killer, in 1958.  His first real taste of writing success was the LSD-fueled screenplay for 1967's The Trip.  Nicholson wrote the movie Head with Bob Rafelson.  Movie Easy Rider led to his first big acting break. He played a very hard drinking lawyer George Hanson, for which he received his first Oscar nomination. He was nominated Best Actor for Five Easy Pieces in 1970.  He appeared in the movie adaptation of On A Clear Day You Can See Forever that year. He was awarded Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival for The Last Detail in1973. In 2001, Nicholson was the first actor to receive the Stanislavsky Award at the Moscow International Film Festival.

He has won 3 times this award. He has won best actor Award for his films:- One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, As Good as It Gets and best supporting actor for Terms of Endearment. He has been nominated 7 times for BAFTA Academy Awards.
